Building Codes in Quebec: Nivoex on the Committee

NIVOEX's Technical Director, Mr. Patrick Gautreau, T.P., has been selected to sit on the Standing Committee on Fire Protection (SCFP) of the Canadian Commission on Building and Fire Codes (CCBFC).

Mr. Gautreau, T.P., will take part in the important work surrounding the development of the national codes for the 2015–2020 cycle.

CCBFC members must have extensive knowledge of code-related issues and be able to demonstrate objectivity and sound judgment. They are selected based on their individual expertise and code-related experience.

The Canadian Codes Centre of the National Research Council Canada (NRC) plays an essential role in this update process by providing technical and administrative support to the Canadian Commission on Building and Fire Codes (CCBFC) and its related committees responsible for developing Canada's national model construction codes.
